Friends Life Care Serves Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware
Friends Life Care is a nonprofit Continuing Care at Home program serving eleven counties in southeastern Pennsylvania and all three counties in Delaware. You stay in your own home. We help build your plan, arrange care when you need it, and, depending on your plan and eligibility, provide a daily benefit toward qualifying non-medical in-home care. You choose a daily benefit between $100 and $350 and a benefit period of two to seven years.
Every member is paired with a Wellness & Care Coordinator who knows the area, arranges care through licensed local agencies we have credentialed, and continues to support you as your needs change. We are not a home care agency and do not send our own aides. Instead, we coordinate care and, depending on your plan and eligibility, your membership may provide a financial benefit toward qualifying non-medical care, helping reduce what you or your support network may need to pay out of pocket.
Where We Serve
Friends Life Care serves eleven counties in southeastern Pennsylvania: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Dauphin, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia. We also serve all three counties in Delaware: New Castle, Kent and Sussex.
Pennsylvania Counties:
- Berks, Bucks, Chester, Dauphin, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia
- Lancaster and Lebanon, with our partner Landis Communities
- Lehigh and Northampton, with our partner Morningstar Living
Delaware Counties:
- New Castle, Kent and Sussex, the entire state
Membership requires a primary residence in Pennsylvania or Delaware. Once you are a member your coverage is portable and travels with you, including if you move out of state.
Serving Philadelphia and the Surrounding Counties
Friends Life Care provides Continuing Care at Home services across southeastern Pennsylvania. We are based in Blue Bell and serve Philadelphia along with Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties, plus Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh and Northampton.
We are not a home care agency and we do not send our own aides. What we do is coordinate care. Your Wellness & Care Coordinator works with you to understand what you need, builds a plan around it, and arranges care through licensed local agencies that have passed our credentialing process. Depending on your plan and eligibility, your membership may provide a financial benefit toward qualifying non-medical in-home care, helping reduce what you or your support network may need to pay out of pocket.
Choosing an Aging-in-Place Option in Delaware
There is no single best program. It comes down to whether you need someone to coordinate your care, money to pay for it, or both.
Delaware families generally weigh three options. Long-term care insurance can provide a financial benefit toward eligible care expenses, but typically leaves you or your support network responsible for finding and managing care. Paying privately offers flexibility but provides no financial protection if you need help for years. A Continuing Care at Home membership brings both sides together: a coordinator who helps arrange care, and a daily benefit of $100 to $350, depending on the plan you choose, to help cover qualifying non-medical in-home care.
Friends Life Care serves New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties, and your coordinator is local to Delaware. Membership is open to Delaware residents between ages 40 and 85 who are in reasonably good health and living independently.
