This month, Friends Life Care Partners proudly begins a new round of SAGECare training with “Guidance and Grace: Preparing LGBTQ+ Older Adults for End of Life.”

This specialized training explores the unique, and often underrecognized, needs of LGBTQ+ older adults when planning for end-of-life, coping with serious illness, and navigating final arrangements. It also highlights the importance of legal documentation and the nuances of LGBTQ+ relationships throughout life’s final chapters.

Courtesy of a Friends Foundation for the Aging grant, in 2022, Friends Life Care (FLC) delivered Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) to select Friends Life Care members. The grant funds were used to launch the project and resulted in the delivery of RAKs to 26 FLC members at risk due to isolation/loneliness.
